Children First of Manhattan, Inc., provides educational and therapeutic services to all children with developmental delays. We are especially experienced with treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

Children First of Manhattan, Inc. ‘s therapeutic program is centered around the science of applied behavioral analysis (ABA).  ABA is a highly structured behavioral modification program that is based on learning theory and utilizes repetition, reinforcement, and rewards.  There are many different methods of ABA available.  Children First of Manhattan, Inc. utilizes a Lovaas approach to ABA therapy.  The Lovaas model of applied behavior analysis has conducted over 40 years of extensive research and has demonstrated some of the best outcomes for children with autism spectrum disorders.

Children First of Manhattan Inc. recognizes that each child is unique and believes in developing individualized treatment plans and teaching specific skills across all environments.  We believe in a multidisciplinary approach to therapy combining ABA, speech, occupational, physical and educational therapy to most effectively help our children learn and grow. Children First of Manhattan, Inc., is an agency that provides ongoing supervision for all ABA cases.  This supervision ensures that all team members are consistent in their therapeutic approach and that clinicians receive continuous professional training.

At Children First of Manhattan, Inc., we believe that family involvement is an integral part of each child’s therapeutic plan.  We are dedicated to each family and work hard to ensure that individual family needs are addressed and that family members are thoroughly educated with regards to their child’s needs and carryover techniques for home.
